Representation matters because we all bring different perspectives to the table. Those perspectives are informed by our experiences which can include where we’re from, education, family structure, sexual orientation, race, and more. Curly Me! is a nonprofit in the Salt Lake area that knows the importance of representation, especially for young children. They provide resources for families with children of color, specifically Black girls between the ages of 5 and 14.
Curly Me! hosts fun and interactive quarterly events and group mentoring opportunities that help to educate, empower, and encourage the girls to be their best selves. They want these girls to feel more confident and assured in themselves and encourage them to be whoever they dream of being. They help them through challenging years and this ripple effect will impact their community and future families.
Stay connected by joining their book club, attending hikes, and more. To learn more, donate, or get involved visit curlyme.org.
