The happiest place on earth will require workers and guests to wear masks or face coverings indoors at Disney resorts and theme parks in Florida and California.

Disney will require masks at parks starting Friday

A spokesperson for Disney said the resorts and parks in Florida and California are making the move to bring masks back indoors as the Delta Variant spreads.

“We are adapting our health and safety guidelines based on guidance from health and government officials, and will require Cast Members and Guests ages 2 and up, to wear face coverings in all indoor locations at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort beginning Friday, July 30, regardless of vaccination status.”

Even the vaccinated will wear masks at parks

The statement said the company made the decision after the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updated its mask guidance on Tuesday.

Masks will be required at parks for everyone, “regardless of vaccination status,” according to Disney. CNN is reporting the recommendation for vaccinated people is to wear face coverings in areas that could be considered substantial or high transmission places in the park.

Disney though will remain fully open in all parks and attractions.
