UTAH COUNTY — Nebo School District will have new messages for students to read on the school bus.

More than eight youth groups came together to design an anti-vaping campaign.  Teens are applying the stickers themselves to the inside of buses.

The Nebo District reported on Facebook the kids went to a leadership summit to learn about leadership and how their voices can be heard.

Nebo is the first school district in the state to have anti-vaping messages on buses.  The Transportation Coordinator for Nebo, Wade Tischner, said he doesn’t hear children say, “I want to vape.”  But, he said he does hear, “I have to quit this” frequently.

The Utah County Health Department said vaping continues to increase among young people  and hope the signs will reduce vaping rates.
