SALT LAKE CITY — Utah ranked in top five in the world when it comes to air quality. Lima, Peru, Delhi, India, Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Kabul, Afghanistan round out the top five Thursday morning.

Utah is still dealing with smoky air from wildfires burning in California and other states. Where normally a storm system might help push unhealthy air out of the area, it actually carried more smoke into Utah over Tuesday and Wednesday.

The KSL Air Quality sensor map shows all of Northern Utah in the red, unhealthy category.
