Soda Springs crash kills motorcyclist from West Point, Utah

SODA SPRINGS, Idaho — A woman from West Point, Utah, was killed in an accident as she exited the parking lot of a convenience store in Soda Springs, Idaho on Friday.


 

Idaho State Police said that Susan Brown, age 65, was operating a 2004 Harley Davidson when she exited the parking lot of a Maverik convenience store at 2nd South and South Main Street. Brown reportedly side-swiped a 2006 GMC Sierra Pickup that was hauling a horse trailer and traveling westbound in the right lane. 

The driver and passenger in the GMC Sierra, Eugene Hullinger and Margery Hullinger, both of Manila, Utah, were not injured in the accident. The motorcycle operator was wearing a helmet according to police but died at the scene.

The crash is under investigation by Idaho State Police, with the assistance of the Soda Springs Police Department and the Caribou Sheriff’s Office.
