MOAB, Utah — A Moab business owner came forward to offer a $10,000 reward in the case of a couple found murdered in the La Sal mountains last month.

Moab reward offer comes from anonymous donor

The two women, Kylen Schulte and Crystal Turner, newlyweds, disappeared sometime after they left Woody’s Tavern in Moab on the night of Aug. 13. A friend found their vehicle days later while searching for them in hopes they just needed a rescue. She contacted the sheriff’s office. Investigators found their bodies nearby, shot to death.

Schulte’s father said the women talked about moving their campsite before they vanished, because of a “creepy” man in the area.

According to the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, the local business owner offering the reward in the murder of the Moab women did not want their name released. The money would go to someone whose information leads to the arrest and conviction of the killer.

Investigators say they do not think the public is in danger. However, some Moab residents have expressed concerns because no one has been arrested so far.

The investigation continues.
