LONDON — The offensive woes of the New York Jets have been a season-long problem thus far.

And the struggles showed up again Sunday as the Jets lost 27-20 to Atlanta in a game played at Tottenham Hotspur stadium in London. England.

Former BYU quarterback Zach Wilson finished 19-of-32 passing for 192 yards and one interception. Wilson also carried the ball one time for 3 yards.

The Jets were especially slow on offense in the first half. New York managed just 80 yards of offense and five first downs in the opening half. The Jets finished the game with 230 yards of total offense and 17 first downs.

“We know what we are capable of,” Wilson said in a postgame press conference about the offensive woes. “And we were able to show it at the end. But I think we got to get a good rhythm going, some flow, something. Starting three-and-out isn’t the way to do it.”

New York trailed 20-9 entering the final quarter. The Jets pulled to within three with a touchdown and a two-point conversion. However, the Falcons iced the game with a 75-yard drive capped by a short touchdown run by Mike Davis.

“We have to find some way to move the ball from the beginning,” Wilson said to reporters. “And get that confidence going.”

The Jets (1-4) will be on a bye next week. New York will play at New England on Oct. 24.
