A motorcyclist is dead after crashing in West Jordan

WEST JORDAN, Utah — A motorcyclist is dead after crashing in West Jordan Friday night. The accident happened near 7000 South and 1300 West where witnesses told police the 64-year-old motorcyclist may have hit a curb. 

West Jordan Police spokesperson, Jennifer Worthen said  the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and speed may have contributed to the crash.  Worthen adds there may have been a second motorcycle rider involved.  “The other motorcyclist turned around the corner and just dropped off his bike and ran off.”

Police have no details about the other cyclist and their potential involvement in the crash.
