Utah is widely recognized as a healthy place to live, work, do business, and raise a family. This includes our easy access to physical activities like hiking and biking trails, a strong sense of community, and great access to healthcare.

Public health affects every Utahan including detecting and preventing infectious diseases by getting immunized regularly, promoting healthy lifestyles and safe behaviors, and providing access to healthcare services for everyone.

Getting an annual flu vaccine and other immunizations is the first and best way to protect yourself and your family. It can reduce flu illnesses and hospitalizations, doctors’ visits, missed work and school. It will also help to lessen the burden on the healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s recommended for everyone 6 months or older to get the flu vaccine prior to the flu season. You can get it at any Intermountain Community Pharmacy or schedule an appointment with your doctor.

SelectHealth recognizes Utahns getting immunized as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
