SALT LAKE CITY — Election Day is here and there are a few ways to make sure your vote counts.

There are a handful of mayoral, city council, and school board races being decided Tuesday, November 2nd.

In-person voting is an option for those who prefer a traditional approach. For Salt Lake County residents, there are 22 voting centers available. Provided a person lives in the county, they can vote at any of those vote centers. Each location is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

For those who want to keep things easy, they can simply bring their completed mail-in ballot to a vote center or dropbox. Those must be dropped by 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Many cities are using ranked-choice voting for the first time today. This method allows voters to select an initial choice, as well as second and third choice.
