Omicron variant of COVID-19 detected in Colorado

DENVER, Colo. — Colorado public health officials confirmed the first case of the omicron variant of COVID-19 in their state.

According to Gov. Jared Polis, officials determined the woman, from Arapahoe County, is experiencing mild symptoms and is recovering at home. 

“It is somebody who just traveled to South Africa and returned,” he said. “She was vaccinated but had not been boosted.”
