LOA, Utah — Charges have been filed against the man accused of repeatedly assaulting a female Snow College student, who was found alive five days after being reported missing.

The Wayne County Prosecutor, Michael D. Olsen, is charging 39-year-old Brent Brown with rape, object rape, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, and obstruction of justice.

Brown is charged with taking the woman against her will and assaulting her multiple times, all after driving her nearly 90 miles away from the college.

Charging documents also allege Brown knowingly tried to keep law enforcement, and family, from finding the woman, in addition to continuing to hold the woman despite knowing there was an active missing person search for her.

Brown is being held without bail.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
