UPDATE: Fortnite is back

CARY, North Carolina — Battle royale game Fortnite experienced an eight-hour outage today.
The game’s own Twitter account dedicated to tracking the game’s service reported the outage began having issues this morning, but has since been resolved.
Fortnite game servers are back online and the Winterfest continues! ❄️
We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we worked to resolve these issues and we’ll have more details next week on what we’re doing to help you make up for lost time. pic.twitter.com/ruLmG4xHgk

The Verge is reporting players were seeing a message that said “You do not have permission to play Fortnite.”
