SALT LAKE CITY — Hundreds of state lawmakers will gather on Utah’s Capitol Hill Tuesday for day one of the Utah 2022 legislative session. How do they plan to stay safe amid the omicron surge?

Senate President Stuart Adams told KSL NewsRadio Friday that he and House Speaker Brad Wilson are allowing for a blended virtual session, just as they did for the 2021 session.

That means both lawmakers and the public can join either virtually or in person at the Capitol.

So how do you join a meeting remotely to attend the 2022 Utah legislative session? Here’s a step by step guide:

  1. Log on to the legislature’s website.
  2. Click “Calendar”
  3. Choose today’s date and meeting you want to join, or search for the specific meeting.
  4. Choose “Live Audio and Video” (note: some meetings only have audio), or click “Participate in Virtual Meeting” to make a public comment.

This chart is from the last legislative session in 2021, but the outline still applies.
