Police in Taylorsville arrested four men early Sunday morning after shots were fired outside a party, apparently in an attempt to “scatter” people who were there.

Probable cause statements say police had responded to a threats call at 4975 South 2475 West. One officer reported seeing the shots fired out of both sides of a black Nissan Rogue parked in front of the house. The vehicle then took off, but officers were able to make a high-risk traffic stop a short time later.

They arrested four men, all 18 years old. They were identified in the court documents as Chailier Longobardi, Jaden Jorgenson, Aladino Gurule and Isaac Michael Archuleta. Several firearms were recovered, including a loaded handgun that one man had in his waistband. One of them told police they’d fired multiple guns in order to “scatter” people from the party.

All four men are facing charges of felony discharge of a firearm, riot and discharging a firearm from a vehicle. Three are also accused of intoxication.

West Jordan police and the Metro Gang Unit handled a similar case on Friday afternoon, with three arrests made in that incident.
