Cycling is an effective and sustainable form of transportation and recreation. It’s a cornerstone of a cleaner, healthier, and safer society. For some it’s their only way to get to work or school. Bicycle Collective provides refurbished bicycles – and educational programs to the community focusing on children, lower income households, newly resettled refugees, and those experiencing housing insecurity.
There are several ways to support the Bicycle Collective. You can donate bikes and parts, volunteer, or buy an annual membership to gain access to tools and benches, in-store discounts, and member-organized events. Every dollar goes back into providing a bike for someone in need. Each year they give away over 1,000 bikes, recycle over 50 tons of material, and create programs for over 100 youth.
