Update: Logan Canyon reopened

LOGAN, Utah — Utah Highway Patrol confirmed Thursday afternoon that the rockslide has been cleared and Logan Canyon is open. An official statement from UHP regarding the cause of the rockslide and the equipment used for its removal has not yet been released.
The Utah Highway Patrol confirmed a rockslide on U.S. Hwy. 89 at milepost 472, in Logan Canyon Thursday morning.
Utah Highway Patrol spokesman Cameron Roden said their troopers were on the scene directing traffic, as the Utah Department of Transportation worked to clear the slide.
Logan police said that one lane was open by 7 a.m. on Thursday.
Logan Canyon now has one lane open at MP 472. Will update when both lanes are open.
