Carbon County authorities make significant drug busts

CARBON COUNTY, Utah — Authorities in Carbon County have taken a significant number of illegal items off the streets with four drug-related search warrants, conducted over the past three weeks.

Carbon County drug busts

According to a press release from the Price City Police Department, the first search warrant was conducted at an address in Price. Authorities say in that search more than 13 grams of methamphetamine, more than 9 grams of heroin and more 15 grams of imitation heroin were recovered. Additionally, seven firearms, $334, and dozens of items of drug paraphernalia were also seized by authorities.

The second warrant was served at an address in Carbonville. Authorities say more 100 grams of methamphetamine and more than 160 grams of marijuana were seized. Police also say more than 10 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and more 3 grams of cocaine were taken into police custody. Additionally, a crossbow, dozens of items of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of cash were also seized.

An address in Price was the location for the third warrant. Police say more than 75 grams of heroin, and more than 20 grams of imitation heroin were seized. Authorities also say a stolen firearm, roughly $2,000, and dozens of items of drug paraphernalia were also taken into police possession.

The fourth warrant was also served at an address in Price. During that warrant, police say more than 14 grams of meth and 1.9 grams of cocaine were seized. Police also took possession of more than 87 grams of marijuana. Dozens of controlled prescription pills and 1.5 grams of hash were also recovered. In addition, more than $6,500 was found along with several items of drug paraphernalia.
