Some executives are keeping their employees home in a way to save money and possibly help lower the price of gas.
SALT LAKE CITY — As gas prices continue to soar out of control, some executives say that employees should be allowed to work from home.
According to CBS News, Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, says working remotely could lower the demand for gasoline. And that could mean lower prices at the pump.
In order to save money on gas, another business executive told the news outlet, that she sent half of her employees home. She says her staff is able to save money on gas and they have the ability to make it work.
However, there are still a few CEOs, who still require their employees to work at least 40 hours in the office, or face termination.
Experts say, ultimately, it’s just good business to find the best solution for an employee’s wallet, and the bottom line of the business.
