Cities around the state announce fireworks restrictions

SALT LAKE CITY — A number of cities throughout Utah have already announced fireworks restrictions for the upcoming holidays in July.
In Salt Lake City, officials are asking residences to become familiar with the areas where fireworks are not allowed. Those caught violating the fireworks restrictions could face a fine of up to $1,000.

In Cottonwood Heights, residents have been provided a map of where the fireworks-restricted areas are within the city limits.
Fireworks are legal July 2-5 and July 22-25 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. On July 4 and July 24, the time is extended to midnight.

Fireworks restrictions in Washington County
In Washington County, letting off fireworks out of the incorporated city is not allowed.

Lindon City
In Lindon, fireworks restrictions are in place for foothills on the eastern side of the city, Dry Canyon, city parks, vacant lots, and west of I-15.

Lehi City
In Lehi, fireworks restrictions will be in place for expanded area in the Dry Creek area. Additionally, fireworks restrictions are in place for areas north of Timpanogos Highway and south of Pioneer Crossing.
