PROVO, Utah — The South Fork Fire started on Monday, according to Utah Fire Info

The 23-acre fire is burning on U.S. Forest land in Provo Canyon, just south of Vivian Park.

Utah Fire Info says there are currently no threats to structures. Multiple resources are on hand, helping to put out the fire.

Dave Marfella, the fire chief with the North Fork Fire Department told KSL he believes the fire was started by lightning a few days ago. He says crews were dispatched to the scene around 5 p.m.

A helicopter and a few small tankers were providing air support until it got dark on Monday night, and then they were pulled off.

Crews were expected to be back working on the fire on Tuesday morning.
