SALT LAKE CITY– Two members of Utah Task Force One have arrived in Puerto Rico to assist locals in the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona

Currently, the members hold leadership positions within the task force, Bryan Case, Utah Task Force One Program Manager says.

Also, they are well equipped in search and rescue operations, aiding them in assisting Puerto Rico.

As far as tasks go, Case says the pair’s assignments depend on what local authorities need them to do.

Furthermore, the members are stationed on the Northeast side of the island. The location is close to where the team assisted in earthquake recovery efforts a couple of years ago.

Case says in this instance, and with most, the task force members could stay on the island for about two weeks, but that could increase depending on how things play out.
