SALT LAKE CITY– Summer turned to winter in an instant over the weekend, as snow fell in the mountains and in lower valleys across the Beehive State.  Snow in Central and Southern Utah made for a treacherous drive on I-15.  By the weekend’s end, Beaver got 4 inches of snow and Cedar City got 3 inches.

Parts of the valleys along Wasatch Front also saw a good dose of snow as of Monday morning:

The mountains also got a huge layer of fresh powder from this storm:

KSL Meterologist Matt Johnson said more winter weather is on it’s way Tuesday morning.

“It’s mainly valley rain and mountain snow…[with] some snow flakes mixed in at the high benches,” Johnson said.

There is also a chance of rain in the Wasatch Front again on Wednesday. The fall and winter weather is in full swing, as highs for the week are not expected to break 60 degrees.
