PARK CITY, Utah — For the first time in decades Deer Valley Resort, located in Park City, is opening in November thanks to early snowfall.

Ideal temperatures and more than 60 inches of snowfall have made it possible for the ski-only resort to open early this year.

The resort is hosting a special preview for season pass holders on Nov. 28 and officially opens for ski season the following day. Starting Nov. 29, numerous chairlifts and ski runs across Bald Eagle and Bald Mountain will run.

“We are thrilled to have the snow for one of our earliest openings ever while still providing the exceptional on-mountain experience Deer Valley is known for,” said Deer Valley President and COO Todd Bennett.

The resort said in a release that additional terrain will open as snowmaking operations allow. Offered at the resorts are over 100 ski runs, 21 chairlifts, six bowls, and more.

Lift and run status are available here throughout the season. Also, you can check daily conditions on the webpage.

“The start of ski season always brings a lot of energy and anticipation and it’s even better when Mother Nature delivers ideal conditions right away,” said Bennett.
