WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — Officers responded to reports of shots fired in West Valley City near Granger Elementary at noon today.
A teacher at the school reported shots fired to police, however, Granite School District confirmed it was loud noises from a science experiment in another classroom.
West Valley City Police have also confirmed there was no shooting.
The original tweet from WVC Police said that the school was being cleared. Parents of Granger Elementary students could pick up their child at Redwood Swap Meet 3688 S Redwood Road.
