Church announces locations for six previously announced temples

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the locations of six new temples around the world. (

SALT LAKE CITY — The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Monday the locations of six previously announced temples.

Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple

According to a church news release, this temple will be built near Dachang Road and Dehua Street, Niaosong District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It will be constructed on 1.26 acres of land.

The Kaohsiung Taiwan Temple was first announced in October 2021 by President Russell M. Nelson. 

Ribeirão Prêto Brazil Temple

This temple was announced in October 2022 by President Nelson. It will be constructed at Avenida Antônio Marcal and R. Jose Brandani in Ribeirão Prêto, Brazil.

The news release says this temple will be a single-story structure and will be roughly 32,000 square feet.

Santos Brazil Temple

The Santos Brazil Temple was announced by President Nelson in April 2022. The structure will be built at Avenida Doutor Waldemar Leão, 305, Jabaquara, Santos, São Paulo, Brazil.

The news release states this temple will be a two-story structure of roughly 23,000 square feet. It will be the city’s first temple. Additionally, it will also be the third temple in the greater metropolitan area of São Paulo.

Londrina Brazil Temple

The Londrina Brazil Temple will be located at Avenida: Harry Prochet, S/N, Jardim São Jorge, Londrina, Paraná, Brazil. The news release states it will be a single-story structure of approximately 32,000 square feet.

President Nelson announced this temple in October 2022. 

Santa Cruz Bolivia Temple

First announced by President Nelson in October 2020, the Santa Cruz Bolivia Temple will be constructed at built at Avenida. Quinto Anilla y Santa Rosa (Avenida Radial 27), Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.

The news release says this temple will be a single-story structure and will be roughly 29,000 square feet.

Wellington New Zealand Temple

This temple will be located near Okowai Road and Whitford Brown Avenue, Aotea, Porirua, New Zealand. It will be built on 3.35 acres of land. This will be a two-story structure of roughly 14,900 square feet, according to the news release. 

It was first announced in April 2022 by President Nelson.

Bonneville International Corporation, the company that owns KSL NewsRadio, is a subsidiary of Deseret Management Corporation, which is owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
