SALT LAKE CITY — Three toys have been recalled and should be taken away from children. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled Tangame Busy Houses, Stashables Children’s Ramp Sets and Anker Play Products’ Bolt Foldable Children’s Scooters for violating the U.S. government’s ban on lead paint.

According to the CDC, lead is absorbed and stored in human bones, blood and tissues. Lead can be a continual source of internal exposure as a result. Because it is stored, it can be a continual source of internal exposure. And in general, lead affects children more than adults. The U.S. banned lead-based paint in residential use and in toys marketed toward children in 1978.

The CPSC said the Tangame Busy Toy Houses feature a yellow-painted zipper and an orange plastic phone that contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead-paint ban. This toy also features a horn with a blue plastic bulb, which contains a regulated phthalate that “exceeds the prohibition of specific phthalates. Amazon sold this toy between May and July of this year.

Similarly, BS Interactive’s Stashable Finger Skateboard Ramp Set features a miniature skateboard and scooter that both contain levels of lead that exceed the federal lead-paint ban. Amazon and Walmart sold this toy online between April 2020 through May 2022.

The Bolt Foldable Children’s Scooters, from Anker Play Products, feature paint that contains levels of lead that exceed the federal lead-paint ban. The company sold the scooters at  “discount stores nationwide” from March through May 2022.

The CPSC said that Tangame and Anker will refund the money spent for the recalled toys. BS Interactive will replace its Stashable Finger Skateboard Ramp Set.

Tangame asks consumers to email 824603123@qq.com for information.

If you’d like to contact BS Interactive about its Stashable Finger Skateboard Ramp Set, call 888-808-0173, or email customerservice@stash-direct.com.
