A police officer with the Sandy Police Department was involved in a fatal shooting early Sunday morning (shutterstock).
DAVIS COUNTY, Utah — A driver fled from police in Davis County today after troopers attempted to make a traffic stop.
The driver entered the freeway and sped up to evade police. The suspect struck a Layton City officers vehicle before taking off again.
The police vehicle had minor damages and the officer sustained minor injuries.
The pursuit was terminated at 1300 South.
The license plate was documented by officers and a search is being conducted with the information they have. The suspect is currently not in custody.
