SALT LAKE CITY — Conagra Brands along with federal officials has issued a recall of more than 2,500,000 pounds of canned meat and poultry.
The issue is a packaging defect that officials said could contaminate the food. What’s worse, said the U.S. Department of Agriculture is that the food won’t look like it’s contaminated.
Here are all of the affected products provided by the USDA in reference to the Conagra recall.
Check any cans of Conagra canned meat or poultry in your pantry for an establishment number of P4247 (highlighted below).
The USDA said the cans were shipped to retail locations all across the United States.
There have been no confirmed reports of illness after eating this meat or poultry. Still, if you are concerned please call your doctor.
And the USDA asks consumers that have questions about this recall to call 1-800-289-6014.
