SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority is rolling out the red carpet with expanded services for the NBA All-Star Game. For the first time ever, TRAX will run on a 24-hour to accommodate visitors and Utahns alike.

According to UTA, it’ll offer round-the-clock service during All-Star week on the TRAX Green line between the Airport and 600 South Stations. TRAX Red and Blue Lines will operate until 2 a.m. during the week.

All-Star week started Sunday and goes until Feb. 21. Those days are all UTA free fare days that include FrontRunner, TRAX, Ski Bus, Paratransit, and UTA On-Demand.

Aside from the expanded TRAX service, the UTA said it would also offer an All-Star bus shuttle and extra FrontRunner service during the week. All those services are meant to take you to Vivint Arena, the Salt Palace Convention Center, and the Huntsman Center from early morning to late evening.

A double bus frequency will also include clockwise and counterclockwise service around the University of Utah – on bus routes 2-A and 2-B.

And for those coming out of town, the UTA is providing a ticket-as-fare promotion for airport travelers.

This means anyone flying into, or out of, the Salt Lake City International Airport or Provo Municipal Airport can ride free on the UTA system with a printed or digital airline boarding pass dated for a valid day of travel during the month of February.

UTA said it will be keeping its website updated with All-Star service information.
