SALT LAKE CITY — By 8:30 Monday morning, Rocky Mountain Power said that power had been restored to the nearly 6,000 customers without power for several hours in Salt Lake City.

In a tweet, the agency said the cause of the outage was blamed on “wildlife interference.”

Earlier on Monday, Rocky Mountain Power reported an outage affecting 5,863 customers in Salt Lake City.

Rocky Mountain Power expected the power to be restored to this area by 1:30 p.m. on Monday, however, it was restored several hours earlier.
