WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — Two people were killed Tuesday afternoon following a crash involving four vehicles on SR-189 near Wallsburg.
Sgt. Cameron Roden, of the Utah Highway Patrol, says a vehicle was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when it crossed over into northbound lanes. The vehicle hit a SUV head-on.
The crash happened just near milepost 21 just after 2 p.m.
Roden says the drivers of both vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene. Roden says the drivers of the other two vehicles only suffered minor injuries.
Roden says traffic is getting by the scene by using the southbound shoulder. Due to having to alternate traffic, traffic in both directions is significantly backed up.
