SEVIER COUNTY, Utah — The Utah Highway Patrol says a 15-year-old boy was killed Tuesday after a one-vehicle crash on a dirt road west of Richfield.

The UHP says the vehicle, driving eastbound, was going too fast for the road.

Then, the driver lost control and the vehicle rolled around 8 p.m. The 15-year-old was standing through the sunroof of the vehicle filming at the time of the crash, says UHP.

He was pinned under the vehicle and passed away at the scene.

According to the UHP, a 14-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash. They were transported to an area hospital where they were treated and released for minor injuries.

Authorities are working to determine who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.

Furthermore, UHP says alcohol is being investigated as a potential cause of the Richfield crash.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
