SANDY, Utah — One person is recovering from smoke inhalation after an overnight house fire in Sandy near 2200 High Mountain Drive.
Sandy City Fire Department Battalion Chief Eric Larson says dozens of firefighters responded to the blaze.
“On our arrival, the fire was quite advanced. It had run through the roof. ” Larson says. “We had a large amount of fire on the interior and the exterior of the house.”
Police say three dogs were rescued from the home along with one person who was transferred to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Additionally, they say there was around $300,000 worth of damage.
Investigators are still working to figure out the cause of the fire.
