Thousands of people turned out along the streets of Salt Lake City on Sunday for the annual pride parade, with fire trucks and police vehicles leading the way.

Taryn Hiatt from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention was part of the crowd.

“I love this,” she said. “I mean, we need more of this in our world today, y’know. There needs to be love and acceptance for all, because every life matters.”

There were 140 entries in the parade this year, which stretched it out to more than two hours. The entries included a number of corporations and churches, veterans and the group Mormons for Equality.
