SALT LAKE CITY–Missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are being sent a survey to fill out about their personal safety and risks where they are serving.
The online survey went out to 62,000 missionaries currently serving in at least 400 missions worldwide.
A church spokesman says they want to better understand the day to day experiences and perceptions related to physical safety; things like threats, assaults, robberies, residential safety and more.
The church says the results of the survey will be used to make changes to safety guidelines and instructions.
