ZION NATIONAL PARK — Park officials say a man said he had shortness of breath as he was hiking West Rim Trail at the Angels Landing access point.
He collapsed, and a ranger then park EMTs did CPR but could not revive him.
While that was happening, a different park medic and rescue team was called out to help a man on another trail who had chest pain and difficulty breathing. He was flown to the hospital.
Crews also spent the night before with a man who hurt his ankle.
Zion national park is urging visitors to be careful while hiking in this high heat that they may not be used to.
