MOAB — Police are looking for a man caught on camera leaving the site of dangerous brush fire last Friday.

Interim police chief, Steve Ross, said the blaze was started near 3300 South and Main Street. Close by, he says the city has a stand of trees and foliage that would have pushed the fire directly into a bunch of homes.

“It could’ve been a horrible fire,” Ross said. “It has us very concerned. We don’t like arsonists.”

The fire did manage to spread into a lumber yard before fire fighters put it out. Ross said it caused about three thousand dollars in damages.
