SALT LAKE CITY — Utah’s Speaker of the House is frustrated over homelessness in the state capital.

“What are we doing today, what are we doing tomorrow to keep people safe,” said Greg Hughes.

Hughes told KSL’s Doug Wright show something has to be done, and it will make people angry.

Hughes says perhaps the state needs a homelessness czar to make big decisions.

Salt Lake County Mayor Ben McAdams says he shares Speaker Hughes’s frustration.
