A mother is grateful her son is still alive after she noticed her baby became overheated. She was sitting on a hot tarmac because of a delayed flight in Denver. Emily France thought her baby boy was going to die in her arms.

“He was screaming and then he just stopped, and my son went limp in my arms,” France said.

Crew members tried giving her ice and wet wipes to try and cool down the child. After two hours of delays it still took 20 minutes to get France and her baby to the gate where an ambulance was waiting.

United released a statement saying this should have never happened and expressed apologies to the woman and her baby. The child had to be hospitalized, but was later released and went home the next day.
