IDAHO — The forest service is calling for all hands on deck August 21st when they expect thousands to flock to Idaho and Wyoming to see a rare solar eclipse that will only reach totality in the U.S.
Idaho has five national forests, and Wyoming one national forest, that will sit directly under the eclipse. Wade Muehlhof, Public Affairs Specialist with the Forest Service, said they are expecting big traffic delays and difficult parking. He said already most of their campgrounds have been reserved.
Muehlhof said they are excited for Americans from states all around to see the beauty in Idaho and Wyoming, but with so many visiting he said it will be extra important everyone packs out their garbage and is extra careful with fires.
