NORTH OGDEN — A somber day at Ben Lomond Cemetery in North Ogden as veterans, active service members, and civilians gathered to remember Maj. Brent Taylor before his private graveside service.
A few clouds floated in the sky as the sun peeked through on a truly beautiful day. Hundreds of American flags waving in the breeze.

“As soon as you hit the North Ogden city limits and saw the streets lined with flags…I mean, just goosebumps,” says area resident Emily Ashdown.
Families lining the streets, Patriot Guard riders lining the road into the cemetery, saluting as the hearse drives by.

Ashdown walked the cemetary before the services with her kids.
“Trying to teach my kids an appreciation for the military and what they do,” Ashdown says.
