“Growing up, I loved watching Kobe play. When I noticed he was building this brand and leading a new, younger generation of top pro-athletes, I knew that I wanted to be part of it,” Mitchell said. “I’m thrilled to join the BODYARMOR team and excited to show fans everywhere that there are better hydration options out there.”
Bryant has been a shareholder with the company since 2013. Eric Woodyard of the Deseret News also reported Mitchell will join a team of high-profile partners and investors in the brand. Along with the former Laker he joins James Harden, Mike Trout, Dustin Johnson, Andrew Luck and Mookie Betts, among others.
This just adds to the list of companies the second year player has joined. He has also partnered with Stance socks, Adidas and New Era. In the introductory video, Mitchell says Bryant is the one player he would pick to play with from anyone in NBA history.
