SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz host the Boston Celtics tonight at Vivint Smart Home Arena, but fans might be paying more attention to ex-Jazzman Gordon Hayward’s return than the struggles Utah seems to be in currently.

Mixed feelings amongst the Utah faithful. Some say they understand his decision to leave, others say loyalty is more important than his paycheck.

Joe says he respects Hayward’s decision to further his career, but says he’s pretty sure Utah fans will boo.

“I would hope there’d be more respect, more people that will support him,” says Joe. “It’s a lot of emotion. I don’t know. I don’t get it. For me, I think he’s a great player and a good person.”

Interestingly enough, Joe wasn’t there to attend the game. He was at Vivint to meet someone from KSL Classifieds to sell his Gordon Hayward jersey. Joe says the decision was purely economical. Go figure.

Louis says Hayward should have stayed in Utah.

“I believe the fans are going to be hating him tonight,” says Louis. “I’m going to boo him.”

He says a Gordon Hayward/Donavan Mitchell combo would be unstoppable.

Boston fan Cam says he’s thrilled to have Hayward on his team and thinks Hayward will receive a positive reaction at Friday’s game.

“I don’t think it was really a big move on his part to leave and abandon us out here or anything like that,” Cam explains. “I think he has deep roots here, so it’s exciting.”
