SALT LAKE CITY — The Department of Motor Vehicles announced Saturday that effective immediately they have made all DMV lobbies closed to the public.

In their statement, they said this is to comply with Governor Herbert’s directive to limit person-to-person contact, maintain six feet of social distance and limit the size of public gathering.

There will be limited services provided by the DMV on-site via drive-through at these specific locations:

·      Salt Lake

·      South Valley

·      Farmington

·      Ogden

·      Hurricane

The DMV also stated that they are asking the public to process motor vehicle renewals online. They say the majority of vehicles in Utah can be renewed online with Renewal Express at REX.UTAH.GOV or at an On the SPOT renewal station.
