SALT LAKE CITY, Utah — An apartment complex parking structure collapsed Saturday near 2200 South and 700 East, according to Captain Leland Stowe with the Salt Lake City Fire Department.

No one was underneath the structure when it collapsed, and no injuries were reported. However, the fire department estimates there were 10 cars under the collapse.

Stowe said he isn’t sure how much damage the cars underneath sustained.

There is currently no known cause for the collapse. Crews are assuming it may have been weather-related, as the state was seeing strong winds over the weekend.
