National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, build stronger communities, and a force that transforms the world. Things looked a little different in 2020, but volunteers throughout Utah continued to show up for their neighbors.
Americans volunteer 8.8 billion hours annually and help organizations fill critical gaps in services for nearly every community in the U.S. Without them, many organizations and programs would not be around today. Over the last year with Utah Gives Back we have written letters to seniors, read books to children, and provided warm clothing to those in need.
We thank you for your dedication and service, you not only gave of your time, but your skills, hope, and heart. This week, we encourage you to find a service opportunity in your community. If you’re not sure where to turn, visit UtahGivesBack.com for ideas.
SelectHealth recognizes the heartfelt services provided by volunteers throughout Utah as another example of how Utah Gives Back.
