EDEN, Utah — The two men killed in a plane crash in Ogden Canyon, near Powder Mountain Ski Resort, have been identified.

According to the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, Devin Criddle, age 26, and Braiden Raleigh, age 21, were aboard the plane when it crashed near 7739 E. Horizon Run Road on Saturday morning.

When emergency crews arrived on the scene they found one man, Devin Criddle, had already succumbed to his injuries. The other man, Raleigh, the pilot, was still alive but had suffered second- and third-degree burns.

Raleigh was transported by helicopter to the University of Utah Burn Center. On Saturday night, Weber Fire Deputy Chief Marshal David Reed said Raleigh had died from his injuries.

A small fire that started upon the airplane’s impact was contained according to Reed.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the crash.
