Police searching for suspect after attempted carjacking in Murray

MURRAY, Utah — Police are looking for a suspect after an attempted carjacking at a Denny’s parking lot.
Police were called Sunday at 10:15 a.m., after the suspect entered a female’s vehicle with a firearm and held her at gunpoint. According to police, the female victim was able to escape and secure herself inside Denny’s without injury.
The suspect left the vehicle and went to a Shell gas station, employees soon left the station and told police he had barricaded inside.
A SWAT team was called to the scene. However, by the time they arrived and cleared the building, the suspect had fled the scene.
Police are looking for a caucasian male. He is described as 6-foot-4 inches, brown eyes, 220 pounds, blonde hair, facial hair. He was reported wearing a hat, grey shirt, pink skirt, or pink wrap around the lower mid-section.
