MURRAY, Utah — Olympic silver medalist Nathaniel Coleman will be honored with a parade this evening in his hometown of Murray.

Coleman won silver in the Sport Climbing event during the Tokyo Olympics.

And he told Utah’s Morning News that he is far from being done with the sport.

“I’ve been competing since pretty much day one of climbing,” he said. “And I enjoyed it everyday, so I’ll keep going. I’ll try to go for the Paris Olympics and maybe L.A. after that if I’m still viable.”

Coleman has been involved in the sport for 15 years. The silver medalist said it’s pretty satisfying to win silver after all of his hard work.

“It’s amazing,” he said. “I was happy to represent not only my country, but my sport. I think climbing is one of the greatest sports out there, and I’m happy that we got to show it to the world.

Sport climbing made its Olympic debut at the Tokyo Games.

The parade on Friday night will run along Murray Parkway and will begin at 6 p.m.
